Videos done
Well, we finished our little video experiment today. Gonna watch ‘em tomorrow. They’re pretty good considering how difficult and time-consuming they are to make at school. Too many filters and blocks…oh well, LOL.
Screen printing
Our unit on Communications is going good…students always like screen printing their shirts. Next up is moviemaker. Students have to create a 30-sec. “infomercial” about a topic of their choice.
classroom wiki
here’s our classroom wiki: I think I’m gonna use this a couple of times this year. Have students create a page for it.

Unit 2
Finished our rocketry unit on Friday. Right on schedule. I think the students really enjoyed the NOVA documentary, “To The Moon.” It’s amazing how much they don’t know about the moon landings. Not their fault, no one has ever taught it to them.
Open House and stuff…
Had the annual parent open house tonight. Good turnout. Nice to see.
2nd launch completed today. 1 to go. Pretty satisfied with how the students are doing. Good launches today, especially in 2nd hr.
Took quite a few videos. Gonna try to put something together for announcements. Blevins had some kids out 6th hr, so they may throw something together too. This year I want to do a short video for each project to show on announcements. Too many kids @ GHS don’t know what fun we have

Busting Bridges
We wrapped up our “Engineering Structures” unit this week in World of Tech. Students did quite well. Most bridges were 400-600% efficient. They also handed in their “computer” bridges as well. I’ll be posting some pics over the next few days.
Over in Exploring Tech, we finished our unit on Advanced Transportation. Time to grade some powerpoints!
Exp Tech II:Pre-Engineering students are goin great guns on the Sumobots project. Some of them look quite good!
